The History of this TownshipI'm sure you're curious as to where all of this comes from.... Well, the Third Junction is a culmination of several stories and years of role-playing experience. A few years ago, a friend and I discovered that we had both come up with similar creatures we called had both, ironically, called Walkers. Both of our creations had the ability to "Walk" between worlds. We began toying with the idea, and soon, fed up with the incomitence that exists in so much of the Internet RPG's, decided to make our own. We began playing with the idea of this Junction, although the idea never took off and was abandoned as we both got on with our lives. Well, I've picked it back up again, bringing with me some of the experience I've had on IRC since then, and I hope to make this a worthy gaming experience. The rules I've formatted are based on several of the RPG's I've played on IRC recently, and they are specifically formulated to prevent such events as:
"I reach out and rip out your larynx!"
We've all been through this, and it's very frustrating, so I've devised a ranking system based on the ones I've played, myself, to prevent such "God play" and also to create a little more challenge to players. "Yeah, so this real life stuff is great. Tell me about the game!" I know, I'm bogging down rpg-ers with real life. So, the township, itself (there is more information in the Shiliki section): Shiliki stumbled upon the Third Junction in her Journeys and found, to her surprise, many Mortals and Semi-Immortals of varying races living there. They had stumbled upon the rare roads leading to the world and had been attempting to establish a civilization. With Shiliki's help, they built the Town Hall and the inn, followed soon by the Caravan Office and the docks. In a small amount of time, the township of the Third Junction had been built. Travel routes were established between the dimensions of the township's inhabitants, both by land and by sea. Shiliki built her new home there, a doorless, windowless, humble building on one side of the growing town, and spent as much time as she could managing the town's affairs. In time, a garden was cleared where Faerie creatures dwelt. A clearing in the woods was found where Magic energies connected and flowed with immense power, and a stone Mage's Circle was errected. An arena was built to cater to the fighters that passed through the Junction, seeking fame and glory. The town prosepered. This is the township you step into when you join #ThirdJunction, the common room of the Junction's inn.
