Basic duties of Walkers
Walkers are, of course, the most powerful beings in the Junction. However,
they are also trusted not to abuse their power. They are responsible for
protecting the Balance between the Four Major Powers (Life, Death, Good, and Evil).
Their duties extend to overall management of their clans (duties may be designated to Semi-Immortals,
as explained below). They are responsible for supplying updated clan lists
monthly to Shiliki, and also will attend Town Council Meetings (all meetings
will be announced at least three days prior to the meeting. Anyone who knows
s/he cannot attend must notify Shiliki within two hours prior to the meeting.)
Walkers are the official members of the Council, with Semi-Immortals as their
advisors. Each Walker (for the time being) gets two votes on every issue
placed before the council. This will probably change as the channel grows.
Walkers are also responsible for both in character (ic) and out of character
(ooc) rules enforcement, as well as the forwarding of their clan's goals.
Ooc duties means kicking and possibly banning any person(s) who disobey the
channel's rules. A Walker's word is law! Any serious disputes may be
taken up with Shiliki. Their ic duties are to enforce the laws of the Junction.
However, being the most powerful beings, it is their responsibility to never
attack without provocation or justification, and they may never attack a
registered character with the rank of Guardian or below. Unregistered
characters may also be attacked, though discretion should be exercised, as it
may very well be that the player is still attempting to register (we all know
how these things can go on IRC).
Basic Duties of Semi-Immortals
Semi-Immortals are the direct leaders of clans. Walkers may hand down
orders through them and designate certain duties to them regarding their clan.
They may also be placed in charge of a specific part of a large clan if the
Walker so chooses.
Semi-Immortals may also attend Council meetings (unless otherwise noted) and
they do get a vote, although they are allowed only one vote to their Walker's
two.
Semi-Immortals are also responsible for helping Walkers register new characters
and must send lists of new characters to their Walker to be compiled.
Anyone interested in playing either a Semi-Immortal or a Walker must
e-mail Shiliki ([email protected]
). These positions will be given very selectively, as Semi-Immortals are
aops and Walkers are given sops on the channel.
